ABSTRACT
This research work was on “the impact of government policies on small business development in Nigeria with reference to ministry of cooperate affair commission, Enugu state”. The study scrutinizes the problems and contribution small scale business in Enugu state and the role it played in the overall employment generation of the economy. The study intended to examine government policies and the role of financial institution in the development of small scale business. The researcher engaged both primary and secondary sources of data in other to obtain the necessary relevant information for the project. Questionnaires and direct interview were carry out, also related literature text books, Magazine, newspaper, Journals, internet articles etc were review and analyses for the project. The prominent contract envisaged in this project are time and finance collection and analyses of data requires a lots of time and this couple with the other hectic academic programmed financial requirement such as production and distribution of questionnaire transportation and other expenses are another major limiting factor for this project. The study also discussed the needs for development of small scale in the nation economy. It further identify the task facing small scale business establishment and operation of their business the study will also discuss the various problem that hinder the achievement of their aims and object of the small scale business as well as their future prospects. All aspect of this work is very relevant in one way or the other tom management, Nigeria as a whole and for those who may be interested in carrying out further study in this topic. The method of statistic analysis includes the use of table, percentage analysis while the hypotheses formulated were tested using chi-square mathematical techniques. Possible solution and recommendation which were foster on the development of small scale investment in the country were also being offered.TABLE OF CONTENTS
